Scarlet Z. Wildheart

Background

Scarlet grew up in the Northern Mountain wilds with her parents, Clara and Lazu, and druidic tribe in a communal environment. Being raised in this laboriously harmonious environment greatly shaped her mentality of the importance of cooperation and understanding among members of the community.

As she was growing up in her tribe of druids, she found great joy in contributing to her group’s efforts, but she was not imbued with the natural magic of her comrades. This wasn’t a negative for her, as she was still a meaningful contributor to the group.

Even though her contributions were meaningful, the tribe was growing, and she felt she may be of more use elsewhere. With that, she decided to set off to the big city of Kalantha, by way of Canfall. Traveling through Canfall, she met Henrietta DeLuna (Henri). They hit it off because of their aligning motivations regarding the working conditions for the miners, and they catch up often when Scarlet is traveling through Canfall.

In the city, she found work as a team member in the Ministry of Infrastructure. Her simple magic abilities got her in to do simple repairs for glimmertech infrastructure, but she developed a knack for logistics and the Canfall mine’s cyclical production and shipping times. The Ministry of Infrastructure gave her the responsibility of determining the shipping methodology and designing the infrastructure to support that. Occasionally, she oversees the construction, but it is somewhat rare - usually only when issues are discovered in her designs that weren’t caught in the review process.

After visiting Canfall several times and speaking with Henri about the conditions that the miners endure, Scarlet and Henri are in agreement that something must be done to increase the quality of life for the miners. Scarlet draws ideas from her upbringing and the structure of the tribe for inspiration on how to improve the miners’ lives.

Scarlet lived in Sinji ward while working for the Ministry of Infrastructure, contributing to a small community group that lived in her building by farming. Henri visited often, eventually staying in town when we ran into a few people a few times in a short period and decided to work with them a little bit, despite everyone’s better judgement, it seemed.
